Confidence...we all want it, but it can take a lot of courage and willingness to get to know your true self. Can you relate?
Noelle is a fourteen-year-old who shared her experience of stepping out of her comfort zone by joining her high school's lacrosse team in her freshman year. This paid off tremendously when she became the varsity goalie.
Noelle has not always felt confident, though. She says, "I have felt my confidence sinking when I earn bad grades on a test or don't play well in a game."
However, Noelle has strong role models such as her mother, brother, grandmother, and the upperclassmen on her sports team, and she deals with sinking confidence in healthy ways.
"I regain my confidence by working harder and talking to my friends about the way I'm feeling."
Aside from lacrosse, Noelle like to use the internet in safe and positive ways, such as talking to her friends, doing homework, watching her favorite TV shows and sporting events, and listening to music.
